Wow...
So, I apologize for not keeping up. It has been quite a while since I last posted.
Busy, busy, busy. It is now a week past midterms. It's Sunday. I have four weeks to go. My print production class is going to do some screen printing on t-shirts and whatever else that is cotton. I think I may do something with Lisa or CW, like Lisa Kelly is my hero or some sort of thing like that.
For Print Production, I just finished a simple travel poster for the Everglades National Park, in Florida. By no means is it going to be sent to them, but ya know... school projects.
It is the start of Graduation Season. Hahaha... Saturday, my brother and I went to my dear friend, Jamie's house for she had just graduated from Hamline University. Great fun. Got there when it started. Usually in the first hour or so of any party, the relatives arrive first. Saw some old relatives of hers. Nice to see them after like. ten years. Food was good. Sushi, veges wow, omg amazing tortilla rolls...mmm....
Thus starts the brother/sister bonding day....
We went to Guitar Center after Jamie's party. He is trying to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a DJ. No lie. He just bought two turn tables, a mixer, and we are going to go to a vinyl record store, so he can buy some vinyls to practice on. He is so excited. Hahah. Oh and I saw an old neighborhood friend at the Guitar Center :) Made me happy. I haven't seen her since her graduation party from our high school. Fantastic :)
We had to travel to the Maplewood Guitar Center because they did not have the turntables in stock in the Maple Grove store. That was some trip. Hahaha. Got back around seven something and he started setting up his equipment.
Matt (my brother's friend) came over for a tiny bit and went home to eat before they left for a show at Honey, in MPLS. I was gettin ready for bed, well,.. not gonna sleep yet but was gettin a movie t watch, and I cam back to a voicemail on my phone. I checked it, and It was my brother. I called him back and he asked me if I wanted to go to see Culture Cry Wolf because Matt wasn't feeling well. I agreed. I got myself ready and we headed off to MPLS. It was midnight.
What a nice brother, he got me into the show for free :).
I guess I talked to three performers as before I even sat down. Crazy. Now, for if that could happen with Celtic Woman, I'd be a happy camper :)
The show was great. I probably lost a lot of hearing, but it made my brother smile haha... He also made me try some of his Nordeast Beer. Named in honor of North East Minneapolis. Horrible taste at first but the aftertaste wasn't too bad. I could not put my finger on what it tasted like.
After he talked to a few performer, brother grabbed me a free Culture Cry Wolf CD, we were on our way home around two AM, He was really confused on how we went around in a circle It made me laugh.
We were passing Taco Bell, and he started salivating. And pretends to cry a little since now he is on a budget cuz he bought those DJ equipment. I said I would pay for his food. He perked up and we headed to the Bell.... we got home ate and I started getting ready for bed. We watched an episode of How it's Made. I went to bed. It was 3:30. I was dying.
I woke up at noon today to my princess whining at me. I forced myself up and did our daily routine. Matt left a note on my mum's bed for me sayin that he has to mow, and I should clean the kitchen before we head out to the record store, and before our parents get home. He is still mowing.
I am really excited for Matt. I hope he gets good, because if push comes to shove, DJ-ing is not a bad career, especially for weddings. Supposedly they get paid A LOT. hahah!
Well, that is it for now. No homework to worry about for this weekend. I should give prinney a bath. She needs one bad :)
bye my friends. I love you.

I am texting you now, and I was like, "hmmmm, I wonder if Sarah has posted a new blog. Its been quite a while since I read one!" And I pop on here, and you have!!!
ReplyDeleteDo no worry, you shall meet Celtic Woman someday, especially Lisa. If Kath and I can get that lucky, you will, too. Oh if they would only come near us next you and you were able to come...that would be fun. :)
Anyway, good luck to your brother! I hope he has fun learning to DJ! :D
So, since my computer got reimaged, my firefox didn't remember all the websites I went to (used to be able to type in the "s" and your blog would come up in the url thingy)! So, I am sorry I have not gotten on in so long!
ReplyDeleteAs Kris said, someday you will meet THE Lisa Kelly, and other members of CW as well! I am keeping my fingers crossed for next year. It will be here before we know it!! :)
Good luck to Matt and his DJing!!!
